It’s really redundant to retake a class to improve one letter grade. That’s just a lot of work on your part and it’s role in your college apps is nominal.
I’m in a similar situation - my mom abuses me but I can’t get out of my place right now. I told my GC about my situation and she helped me get back on track and emailed my teachers whenever I needed her to. Also, whenever I couldn’t do my work I told my teachers (not indulging them on the details, of course) and in all circumstances they gave me a later deadline or excused me from the assignment. I managed to pull off a C+, two B’s, and four A’s last school year (and I’m not retaking any of my classes). You might be going through some things, but there is a lot you can do to lessen its impact on your grades.
