there also are otc treatments like Azo, that may help, my doctor recommended it to me during a stretch where I was having problems with urinary tract infections (that was caused by a narrowing in my urethra).
I don’t have a urogynecologist in my town. I see a female urologist who treats both women and men.
Sure, @mom60, but the OP wanted to see both. Only need the former if there is a practice in her town!
Do you use artificial sweeteners? I went through a period about 10 years ago when I had the intense urge to urinate and it had to be immediate. The urologist I was seeing at that time suggested I look at my diet. He suggested a few things that might be making the problem worse. I can’t recall the whole list but by process of elimination I found that artificial sweeteners in the diet soda I was drinking was the main culprit. It was the only period of my life that I was in the habit f having a diet drink.
I also find coffee makes me have to urinate more often. I try to limit my consumption on days I’ll be in the car for a long time.
I do use them. I’ve cut back to two Packets in the morning. I think the prolapsed bladder is the main culprit, but do agree caffeine and probably other things just make it worse.
