I applied for financial aid for ED to NYU and got an email telling me to complete an expense resource worksheet yesterday. However, every time I click on the link on Albert, it gives me an error message. Anyone else having this problem?

Try it with a different internet browser

I just tried using IE instead of Firefox and it gives me the same error message. Did the link work for you?

Sorry, this has absolutely nothing to do with your error message, but I haven’t gotten that email…I looked it up on the NYU website and it said the only time they send it is when they need more exact numbers for your financial aid package…so to me it seems like you should be in based on that info, which is great for you but has me kind of worried because I haven’t gotten it yet haha. Would you mind telling me when you submitted your application/ED financial aid application so I know when I could (hopefully) be receiving that same email?

I submitted my app for aid on the 9th I believe and I got the email for the worksheet on the 19th or so. Why do you think I got in just because they are asking for more specific numbers? Can you send me the link for where you saw this?

Verification

I don’t know, it could just be me being overly paranoid, but it just sounds like the information is only necessary if they were already planning on giving you a financial aid award.

(‘verification’ is the link by the way)

OP - I am not applying for aid. If the problem persists, call them and have them sort it out. Or even on the Albert thing, you can post an inquiry to the technicians. Try that too.

hayleyelisa - don’t worry, they way already have the required numbers for you based on your aid application which is why you haven’t received it this expense resource worksheet!

I received this same email. Not sure what to think in regards to how this could be associated with acceptance…
I, however, notified the OFA that I anticipated a discrepancy between 2009 and 2010, so I could understand why they would ask me to fill this out. Something tells me that they wouldn’t have asked for it I wasn’t accepted, though. we’ll see.

fhaselroth, when did you get the email asking you to complete it? I notified OFA about a change in income as well for 2009-2010 and in the future. But I got this email on Nov 19th, no way they had decisions ready by then?

It’s a possibility your decision was ready by that time. However, it does make it more unlikely that the two are related. I sent in the notice on November 27th and I got the email November 29th. Did your email give you a specific FA officer to send it to? Mine had a contact email and a name incase I wanted to fax it.

Yeah mine did too, but when I faxed it, I forgot to address it to the person…

What notice did you send in on the 27th?

The notice of anticipation of discrepancy.
I was accepted into LSP CAS today!

Congrats man, hopefully that email they sent us was a sign…

Definitely, good luck and thanks!
