But when you start playing with the perceived truth, even if you’re doing nothing dishonest…it can be seen as bad.

Your resume will be looked at by artificial intelligence and it may even be matched up to your transcript that many companies ask for. So it should be the same.

btw - unless you’re applying to small firms, it won’t matter.

Recruiters will see engineering as engineering. They are not necessarily engineers - so unless they understand that engineering is physics heavy, they won’t make the connection.

There are jobs out there looking for engineering or physics majors and perhaps at those you’ll have a better chance.

To answer your question - list your actual major and not a substitute one.
