I didn’t bring a sleeping bag because I was provided with a couch (which was very comfortable) to sleep on. I think most of the prospies who did bring their sleeping bags didn’t have to use them. I would just try to contact your host and see if he/she would reccommend you to bring one or not. And have fun:)

How do you know who your host is? Is this something they sent you before you went? Was your host a student with a single room type thing?

I haven’t been contacted by my host yet, either!

My host contacted me, but I believe I was the only one. I would email Elmer and ask him if he could provide you with a phone number or some sort of contact information. My host had four other roomates:) lol but the room was pretty large. There was a common room in the dorm and then rooms where the beds were.

Oh, awesome thanks :D

who else thinks the emails are absolutely adorable?

they make me smile :D

Elmer’s hilarious! He makes me want to go here.

hey how did you guys like explore bowdoin???

Awesome time! Really a great experience.

Agreed! But I can’t find the facebook group for some odd reason! “Explore Bowdoin 2010:November Session” <— Am I typing something in wrong? lol

Could any of the past participants give me some insight as to what you guys did over the four days you were there? I’m thinking about applying this year.

Does anyone know if a transcript is required for this year’s applicants? I called, but they will be out of the office until the 22nd and it’s due the 26th.

I’m 95% sure they want a transcript. After submitting the application, the page says to print for a transcript authorization (something like that) to show our school counselor to get a transcript. I say apply, then get your hands on your transcript asap to send, and call Bowdoin the 22nd to know exactly how/where to send it. IIRC, it’s by fax and can be done by your school.
(Unrelated: I feel a little bad posting about the 2016 program in the 2015 thread. Is it new thread time?)
