You can do it either way - do as much or as little as you want.

We attended the March 3/4 Explore (I assume these sessions will be similar) and arrived at about 11am. At the check-in area they had fruit and granola bars and coffee and lemonaide. They give you an agenda - very similar to the online one you can print, and you have until 2pm to choose from several activities. D and I took a bus tour of the neighborhood, and campus tours were available also (you have time for both, if you wish.) There is a financial aid session (very informative), and a Thematic Option presentation. At 2pm was the official welcome (don’t miss it - it is fun!) and then they split the group up by major and take you to an info session. We went to the CLAS session, and a professor gave a mini lecture - he was GREAT. After that, you and your child split up and they go off to meet up with their host and do some evening activities. Parents had an evening reception to meet other parents and a nice dinner with a faculty member joining each table. The next day there was a breakfast, a housing session (don’t miss it - housing is VERY confusing to me!), a session about campus security, and a student panel followed by lunch. There was LOTS for parents to do the entire time, and lots of your questions will be answered. Have fun!
