Facial cleanser for teenage boy?

This is the facial wash that S2’s dermatologist recommends:

[Derma Topix 5% Benzoyl Peroxide Wash 8 fl oz | DermShop.com](http://www.dermshop.com/topix/derma-topix-5-benzoyl-peroxide-wash-8-fl-oz/?gclid=CIrA_4WIwbgCFZGi4AodQScAGg)

and there is a 10% version that he uses on his back.

The derm recommends this sunscreen for people with acne:

[Amazon.com: Eltamd UV Clear SPF 46, 48-Gram 1.7 oz.: Beauty](http://www.amazon.com/Eltamd-Clear-SPF-48-Gram-1-7/dp/B002MSN3QQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1374426182&sr=8-1&keywords=eltamd+clear)

I use this sunscreen year-round:

[Amazon.com: Eltamd UV Daily SPF 40, 48-Gram 1.7 Ounce: Beauty](http://www.amazon.com/Eltamd-Daily-SPF-48-Gram-Ounce/dp/B00464EC1E/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1374426211&sr=8-2&keywords=eltamd+clear)

It does not make me break out (and every other kind of sunscreen does), and it does not sting my eyes, even though I put it on my eyelids and undereye area, right up to the edges of my eyelids. I’ve been using it for years.

My daughter cleans her face daily with Clean & Clear Deep Cleaning Astringent for Sensitive Skin, seems to work well.

Believe it or notm my 20 yo son uses Noxzema cream. I think he borrowed mine one day and loved it. His skin really did well with it and he won’t switch to anything else. He does have pads for when he needs them (I think maybe after workout when he can’t wash his face for a while when he’s not home)

Sometime skin that is too dried out can cause breakouts. My dad uses bath and body works antibacterial soap. I guess he gets break outs or something from roscacea which can cause adult acne. Sometimes it is trial and error. S1 used proactive for a while, then out of the blue his skin got crazy worse. I think he OD’d on the proactive if that’s possible.

My son was on Accutane to clear up his acne, and during the worst part of it (the acne gets really bad before it gets better), he started using Neutrogena acne soap (in orange and white box). He still uses it - loves it!

D uses Panoxyl, but only on her back.

Re: Proactive - neither of my kids could use it. It’s got salycilic acid, which makes them break out … they have to use benzoyl peroxide based acne treatments.
