@Madison85 Ursinus is the financial safety. Many people of my caliber (not that high) get in for free. I also live 5 mins away. On the net price calc Lehigh cost $8k-$20k (w/ dorm), and the others were $12k-$25 (Ursinus was $15k before merit aid). This isn’t too bad
Ok, so Ursinus tuition is $46k per year, you can live at home, and Ursinus guarantees to meet full need?

Here is an example: With 4 household members, one in college, and income between $30000 and $39999 per year, and living at home, grant aid is $30000 and parents/students pay $15000.

@madison85, historically (friends’ experience) yes - I added stuff to the last comment.
@madison85 my dad was actually saying $0 (I pay for it), but now I think they’ll help pay up to $15k (maybe 20k) with help from my uncle (rich), and I can pay the rest, given that I apply for federal aid (do the selective service check).
You can get a federal loan for $5500 freshman year from filling out the FAFSA.
Perhaps some federal grant money (Pell) too depending on FAFSA EFC.
Looks like Ursinus also requires CSS Profile.
@Madison85 That’s true, but it’s all about that school (CSS Profile based) aid. Things ain’t as bad as it may seem, based on everything that I said. My parents were making 6 figs until a few years ago, mom gonna be a nurse (back to school), my uncle’s very success, so I’m not screwed (but does this affect financial aid?). I’m just nervous about getting in, and my parents being too controlling, and other silly 1st-world problems.
If you decide to wait to sign up and turn 18 in the meantime, you will have to sign up before you will be able to get any payments of your financial aid. It’s easiest to go in and check “register me” now on your FAFSA & be done with it. It’s something you have to do in order to get aid.
