<p>^Luckily, I was able to get our car fax fixed quickly. And yes, I had to prove the discrepancy to them. Somehow, I got a copy of the police report and the police report said the car in the accident was a GREEN toyota highlander (we had a blue highlander). On top of that, one of the ID numbers didn’t jive with our number (can’t remember if it was the registration or the VIN number). I emailed the info to Carfax and they changed it. They didn’t charge me for a corrected copy of the report, but I did have to pay for the info needed to find the mistake (which I believe I found through a link on their website—something like $35 for complete report).</p>
<p>I agree with you. Carfax is not always accurate.</p>
