Fall 2014 Transfer Thread

My friend got accepted today into CNS!
Chemistry Major! 3.6 Major from Texas Tech!

Did she have her calculus credit do you know? @CileyMyrus

Did she have her calculus credit do you know? @CileyMyrus

Did you only need 1 calc credit or 2? I don’t remember.

@lovechickfila Yes she did have her Calculus credit.

@Jwood12 @rice00princess I think that goes along with what I was saying. Meaning people that do not have a chance period get auto-rejected first to weed out some of the application pool. Then they will start accepting the people that are absolute shoe-ins (the 3.6-4.0s, depending on college applied to). Finally, they will start reviewing the people who have good enough GPAs to be considered but not high enough to be an obvious choice for admittance. Naturally these applications will have to be reviewed more thoroughly in order to determine who the stars of the pool are etc. This seems to be on point with what we’ve seen so far, meaning that most acceptances posted are in that 3.6-4.0 range.

@UTfanatic1234‌ hey! What major did you select in COE?!

I have checked my status 100 times already today. Still nothing…Trying hard to study Calc and Chem and getting constantly distracted. Getting my tooth extracted a couple of months ago was less agonizing compared to waiting for an admissions decision. X_X

Do decisions come out just in the mornings or throughout the day?

@Jwood12‌ around 5:30 pm I believe

Still waiting here also. I’m taking some comfort in the above posts, that my application wasn’t automatically rejected. Uughhhh this is so stressful!

GPA 3.87, 50+ Hours, A’s in Calc 1/2, Chem 1/2, still waiting for Civil Engineering

This is so nervewrecking :frowning:

Stupid Question: What’s the best time of the day to check my status? I hate it when I go back and check every five minutes.

Just got accepted to the College of Education today for ec-6th generalist

ACCEPTED INTO COE

Congrats you guys! :)

Congrats everyone!

has anyone got denied yet?

Why a delay with Natural Science students?
I thought there would have been a bigger number of students accepted by now given that CNS is bigger and, from what I hear, not a very difficult school to get into.
