OTHER THOUGHTS: I was rejected last year. I felt very bitter about it lol. I’m grateful that I got in now, but I wish they would have accepted me last year when my GPA was actually higher. I did apply under Linguistics and Computer Science last year, so I believe it was my lack of a math background while expecting my ~7 programming courses to carry me. My top choice is still USC, but they also rejected me last year. I’m hoping this is a sign of good luck to come. Nevertheless, I’d be happy at UCLA. I do want to switch my major to Linguistics though, but I don’t want to get ahead of myself now.
Denied. Really thought I would get through. Again, after eight years away from school (two B+ two F special circumstances) I have six As out of six at Santa Monica College with As in Chinese, Geology, Anthro, Math, English, Art History. Taking Chinese 2, Chemistry Lab, two different Geography classes this semester. AP credit for English Lit, Lang, U.S. Gov, Comparitive Gov, U.S. History. 35 on the ACT.
