Fall 2015 UCLA transfer students

Can we stop bumping this thread until we have concrete information? lol.

minxs2017 - I asked the scholarship coordinator (Alejandra Ramirez) at UCLA and she mentioned that Regents list is is not yet received by her from the admissions committee. She expects it any moment.

So this is a rather specific question, but I thought I’d ask just in case any of you have been in a similar situation.
I started taking community college classes when I was still a sophomore in high school, which means that after only a year of being at a CC full-time, I have more than enough units to transfer. The problem is, a year really isn’t enough time to establish myself in any college extracurriculars, so though I mentioned being in Phi Theta Kappa and TAP, I included some of my high school extracurriculars as well. Do you think that’s going to be a problem?
To give some background, I have a 4.0, applying to the Comparative Literature department (major language: Russian, minor language: French.)
Thanks in advance for your input!

No it will not be a problem. One year transfers rarely have ECs. Good luck!

Just wondering, does anyone when the results of the transfer admittance rates come out for each major?

I believe they came out in November @oldschoolboy‌

@luckie1367 that makes sense. thanks!

i just spent so long looking through last years thread fro transfers to UCLA. I’m getting so anxious.

I just wanted to drop in and wish all of you luck. I’m on pins and needles over here.

HI @FULLOAD !

Hi Luckie.

Hi @luckie1367!

HI @lindyk8 :))

@fullload‌ - have you received responses from any of your schools? I know UCLA was your first choice, but I believe you had a couple of backups as well.

Hi Candles, I’m in everywhere but UCLA and UCI. Still waiting in those two.

Candles, how is everything going for you at UCLA? Enjoying your experience so far?

What privates did you get into???

That’s great @fullload‌. I’m sure irvine is a lock for you. Good luck on UCLA.

I know you said you’re not going to UCLA for the social experience, and neither was I. But I have to tell you that the nontraditional network at UCLA is great. I met some amazing people and it’s really good to just have that group of people that understand exactly where you are in life.

Thanks buddy.

Nice to know, Candles Glad there’s a solid support system to help out when needed.
