@Cp070796 you can post your stats if you want. But even if you are the most amazing applicant possible it does not guarantee an acceptance. Remember that we can’t know your chances and majority of time they end up being wrong because we don’t know the full picture.
It won’t do you any good if we chance you at this point, focus on doing something else that will take your mind off tomorrow. Whatever the outcome, it is already set in stone and there is nothing to do about it now but wait 1 more day.That is why I don’t like to do chances myself, I don’t know what Cornell is looking for but maybe someone else here can do it for you?
Don’t torture yourself, just think positively and have a backup plan just in case. Good luck 
@blackwidow22 I am feeling kind of confident after speaking and meeting with Ian around three times and having the ILR school reach out to me in September.
You’re right though its all been decided. I just wish i didn’t have to wait so long :((
@Cp070796 yeah, I wish we could know so much faster :(. Sadly, CAS applicants like myself will probably have to wait even longer because there are usually more applicants and it appears to be really backed up at this point. If you have spoken with Ian and all that, it is a good sign that he will pay attention to your app.
Don’t worry about it, we are all pretty amazing. It says a lot about our characters to apply to a school like Cornell, we’ll do great things whatever happens. At this point, it is more of the icing on the cake, you’ll see everything will be fine in the end

@blackwidow22 appreciate all the kind words. I will update you guys tomorrow morning as to my decision and whether or not I was accepted. Like I said after looking back into the 2015 transfer thread and comparing myself to the accepted people I am feeling more and more confident.

@transferind97 according to previous years, engineering decisions are last to be done. Typically CALS gets released first and then CAS and lastly engineering. I saw decisions for Engineering coming out middle of May last years, which is when the majority of the decisions go out. Since decisions typically come out in batches on Tuesdays and Thursdays, I would expect Tuesday 5/17 to be a big day for decisions for CAS and Engineering.

@2Brown4MyOwnGood never done this before so please excuse my informality with the entire template of putting together a “chance sheet”.
HS Story: I didn’t get into anywhere that i applied to. I applied to basic state schools with a 2.8 GPA and little to no ECs except for being a wrestler with various jobs and the head editor of the school news paper. My SAT was like a 1600 approx.
So i enrolled in community college:
Current GPA: 3.55 (lowish i know but this I have only actually gotten 1 B-, an A-, and a C in a one credit class over 56 credits)
Every other class Economics (macro and Micro) Accounting, Intro to business, both english courses, public speaking, marketing, comp tech, psych, history were all straight As.
My ECs are where I truly got ahead.
-I started to seek out some better ECs and it started with PTK
-I quickly climbed the PTK ladder at my school and became the VP of scholarship.
-I was volunteer tutoring kids in my classes because my teachers were asking because i was doing to great in the classes
-I joined the business club and helped pick it up off the ground and help the current president grow membership and budget
-This year i began an internship with an international stationary company called Weveel where I am putting together programs and marketing to all markets around the world. Every day I am communicating with our marketing team in China as to how to grow as a company, and side by side with the CEO learning how to manage and lead as well.
-I have traveled with the company to Hong Kong and Ningbo China to meet with retailers like Walmart and Target to see how negotiations of new products go as well.
-Currently I am still in the internship while taking classes at night and becoming EMT certified to make myself a better lifeguard for my summer job.
-I still tutor and on my midterm sheet i have all A’s in my classes.
-The PTK chapter I am in put together a break the bias campaign around campus and won a prestigious 5 star chapter award for our outstanding efforts.
- I work at an italian restaurant on the weekends and some week nights.
I have great recommendations from my PTK advisor who i have worked closely with all year and from my english teacher who was taken back by me volunteering my time to help other students out and tutor them.
I received a letter from ILR in september and spoke with Ian a week later with a great conversation talking about how amazing my Hong Kong travel was and how the internship was spot on. He came to my school to speak with the PTK officers and i met with him to put a face to the name and he told me if i ever need anything just to call.
Before i submitted my essays i went over the key points with him and he said they sound perfect and if anything doesn’t look right he will call me and ask me to change something in the application process.
Now I am here, and seeing other high GPAs i am deterred a little bit but i truly believe that with the cross cultural perspective on work that i observe at the internship everyday and from traveling internationally, I think that this major is perfect and ultimately practical to me.
Hi, I am a CALS applicant- I have not received an email nor can I get a pin when I click forgot password- I called and was told that they release decisions on Tuesday for CALS- has anyone applying to CALS gotten notification that they will find out their decision tomorrow?

If it says we can check our decision at 10 AM is that EST or the timezone we live in?

Hi everyone do you happen to know which official email address I should send my materials to in order to get the most efficient response? It’s been more than a month since I submitted my application yet my HS final transcript is still marked as ‘unreceived.’ I suspect it might have been lost into the pile as my HS counselor emailed on my behalf almost two months ago.
Any prospective hotelies receive notice for a decision? I didn’t yet and I’m worried because I got accepted to Vanderbilt but the deadline is May 2nd to reply. Anyone know what I should do?
