Rejected (Applied to ILR). Got into Emory, Michigan and Vanderbilt. Don’t lose hope guys!
Got rejected. Sad and kinda surprised too. Waiting for Yale and Amherst College…
It looks like ILR was especially competitive this year.
Rejected ILR
Looks like this week consists of most rejections, just like the trend showed last year…
Rejected ILR
yes, this week is supposed to be mostly rejections. Next week will be 50/50
@blackwidow22 so will next week be the last week for admissions? Or will it go on until the week after?
I’m pretty sure next week is 50/50 week, then acceptance week & lastly rejection week. Since Cornell is backed up a week, unless they get caught up there should be an extra week this year. Last year they got done the week of 5/16
How can you tell next week to be a 50/50 week?
Just wondering about a question that may not even be able to be answered - is there any significance to which batch your decision was released in? For instance, are students who are rejected in batch #1 are any weaker than students who are rejected in batch #2, or is decision batch placement random?
@Luluoo according to previous threads for the past 3 years
@matthewjohnlim It would make sense to me that the first rejections are the easiest decisions (weaker apps) and that the last decisions are the hardest to make, which is why they took the longest. This could explain why some applicants who had their apps sent for review at an earlier date are still waiting while some who were sent for review after already got their decisions.
@blackwidow22 Yeah, that’s what I figured. Thanks!
My app was sent for review around 4/8 and still no word My anxiety level is HIGH
can anyone explain to me about resetting your pin? i applied to CALs and haven’t gotten any word back. should i receive an email letting me know my decision is available? or should i just check every week? or is the only way to know by resetting my pin?
@adiamond321 If you don’t want to reset your pin, you can wait for an official email titled “Cornell Decision Notification.” You should be receiving it at 10am EDT on a Tuesday and that means your decision can be viewed immediately on the site. (They give you a pin and a link to set your password for the decision site.) Hang in there and good luck!
@keddies429 thank you so much but what does resetting the pin mean? and what does that do? i didn’t receive an email. i checked the portal thing and it said that the database was updated this morning at 7 am but no results were there. does this mean anything significant? i am really confused about the resetting the pin thing i’m sorry
Just got accepted today to CALS as a bio major.
3.82 cumulative and 3.95 pre-professional. Can’t decide if I’m going or not because it might be too much money so I’m waiting on finaid
@CornellOrUFl Congrats! Did you receive an email that your decision was ready?
