Anyway, congrats to all the accepted transfers!
Rejected, School of Hotel Administration.
@TheDiego is this Diego from MDC Honors?
@heyheyhey96 oh no I’ve been exposed
This has been the most stressful wait of my young adult life.
@sneak156 I knowww i’ve been on this thread for a month now.
Anybody knows at what time financial aid comes out on Wedensdays?
@heyheyhey96 I was told it varies depending on email servers. But you can expect it by the end of the day if your FA has already been processed.
Oh ok, thanks! @victardo
Hi everyone. I have been wait-listed as a transfer applicant for Cornell Engineering.
Before this occasion, I had no knowledge that there was such a thing for transfers.
Now, I’m wondering, Has anyone else been wait-listed like me?
Are there many who have been wait-listed? And what are my chances now of being accepted?
My guts tell me that, Cornell is most likely to be as high as anyone could transfer to for Engineering other than perhaps MIT and Stanford
and not many if any at all will choose to not apply having been accepted… :(((
So, what are your thoughts on this…
and when do you guys think the decision for the wait-listed will be posted since it’s already late May…
I would appreciate any comments on your thoughts. Thanks.
@autumnstar Yes, it definitely happens and if you look in previous years there are people who have been wait listed from the CoE. I have no idea what the chances are to come off the wait list are though. The only thing I can think about is that the decisions came out so late that some students may have already committed to other schools or the financial aid isn’t enough for the student to attend. If you don’t mind me asking, what major did you apply for and when were you notified?
why transfer at all? TCNJ is a very well respected institution. Save your money and go to a great grad school.
Does anyone know how they determine which credits are transferred? Idk where to hand in my syllabus
@HereToTransferr each school has its own credit eval office. I would check with student services at your school. They determine which credits transfer and so on…
alright thanks!
Been on and off collegeconfidential since my decision was released. Rejected from the School of Hotel Administration. It hit me much later in the day which was why I avoided posting because I needed some space. However, I think the rejection lit a fire under me.
I honestly understand why they made the decision they did. My four years of high school overshadowed my one semester of college which wasn’t even that high. I mean, I’m in good standing but I’m nowhere near a perfect GPA and my SAT scores are nothing to brag about.
I truly plan on reapplying next year, and if that doesn’t work out, I’ll see if my backup hotel schools accept me. If that works out, I’ll apply to Cornell for their graduate program!
Best of luck to you all that haven’t received your decisions yet! Don’t give up hope because a rejections don’t mean everything.
