I got accepted in UCSD and honestly I didn’t know if I was because I wasn’t really planning on going there since I live in OC and its one my least favorite schools so I didn’t do any of the prereq’s and I still got in! I was honestly so shocked god fuck I just want to get into UCLA for that UC tuition and the perk of being in LA, but if not UCSB here I come :(. I applied to USC but even if I get in I know my financial aid will suck and I don’t want to pay that much for a 2 year undergrad education lol. Theres always grad school I guess!
UCSD is weird. I am a CS major and missed 5 major requirements. They picked me. lol SD was not even my backup

same. I had like 2 panic attacks today. I came home early and I’m gonna stay home tomorrow. The stress is too much…like…tomorrow determines my future… UCLA is the only school I want…It’s the only one that feels like home.
Hey guys, genuine question here. What source disclosed the information that ucla would release decisions. Tomorrow? Also does it say that they will release all decisions tomorrow? Just curious, because I know there was something of a false alarm on the 21st/22nd

I wish I could stay home from work tomorrow but calling in sick is not an option. Everyone there knows tomorrow is decision day so they’ll see right through me! Tomorrow is definitely going to be rough. And if I find out I am rejected while at work… even worse. Especially since I know my bosses are (not so) secretly hoping I don’t get in.

i honestly dont think they were holistic because compared to UCI, UCSD didnt waitlist a lot of students, they straight up rejected them. I saw people with AMAZING EC’s, high GPAs, uncapped majors, etc, get rejected.
I have a gut feeling that they accepted students with lower GPAs because they may consider themselves lucky to have gotten accepted? I dont mean this in a rude way, but I feel like UCSD is thinking that it’ll be easier to retain these students and not lose them to other ~better schools, or even privates.
Some are saying its how they maintain their ranking but idk in my opinion it makes them seem not exclusive but kinda like jerks who dont care about students… I dont know man.
Good look to all of us, tomorrow is gonna be another emotional day. Get rest, stay hydrated, do ya homework and readings.
