This is all speculation, at this point, we don’t find out until the admissions are posted. Maybe some of us can see this new tab depending on what option we chose when making the account. Whether we picked “New Student” or “None of the Above,” etc, etc. That could be a theory too, so my hopes are no longer up and I think we should just wait till 5pm, which some of you smart people were doing to begin with. On twitter, the UCLA admissions account says that they will notify everyone on Facebook when the decisions are released and to “check AFTER 5PM”
Hi all, i see some people have gotten emails from ucla saying the decisions will be posted at 5? I haven’t gotten an email though… anyone else on the same boat? Could this be a sign? 
Yeah I agree, I’m assuming if you select “new student” there will be a new student tab, if you select prospective student or whatever I’m thinking it would be different. I don’t think this means anything, let’s just wait for 5 PM. Good luck to all! I believe in us!

@LynAmmo I see the tab new students, but the page itself shows “you are not authorized to access this page” does it mean I screwed up? What do you think?
@masechka1988 When creating your account, which profile option did you choose? (new student, none of the above, etc).
@LynAmmo nvm it disappeared. But I have a tab still. I also remember that I had that tab when I created the account a week ago…
@masechka1988 I see the same thing. We figured out that maybe we could see the new students tab because we made the account choosing the New Students option, so it may not be an indication of anything.

@masechka1988 You had the new students tab that says Admissions Home and New Student orientation a week ago? I had the account since early April and I checked regularly and I just saw those new updates today, but idk I guess if you saw it a week ago then it doesn’t really mean anything.
I’m so confused. Where is everyone getting all these New Students/Housing tab options on their page? I’ve only been able to check on the admission. ucla. edu/MyApplicationStatus site, where I put my UC ID, DOB, and City of Birth. The page still looks the same as before, with a wide banner picture of a building on campus and “Application Status: Application Under Review” beneath it.

those who are able to access myucla and said they were took summer classes are ucla. Did you create a ucla extension account for that? I took one class at ucla during my high school year and made an ucla extension account. Am I able to create a myucla account through the extension account?
@pomeranian4rich I’m not sure I just made mine as a summer sessions account which apparently is placed in the same area as actual UCLA student accounts!
@area21 I have access to MyUCLA because I took summer classes through UCLA a few years ago. Everyone else that has a MyUCLA account has it for a different reason right now I think. My UCLA Admissions Portal though which we all have looks exactly the same as it has all these months though.
@area21 not on the Admissions site, that site looks exactly the same. We are talking about the myucla.edu site.
