my major gpa seems to be a lot lower than other psych majors who were accepted, and i wasn’t pretty worried i’d get rejected because of that. they must’ve taken into account that i’m premed, which is what dropped my gpa a lot (used to be 3.9). essays were decent, I wrote a lot about shadowing a doctor at ucla, about almost failing chem, dropping it, getting an A the second time and then becoming a chem tutor.

I already paid my deposit to UCLA haha this has been my dream school my entire life! Both parents went, two of my cousins attend currently, and I was also born at the UCLA Medical Center even. I had like nine W’s too haha so apparently that doesn’t matter. Also just some other info about me as to why I think I got in, most importantly because I applied to a non-impacted major! Also, I have all pre-reqs complete and finished two upper division courses through UCLA over the summer so I was like extra prepared for my major lol. Anyway I hope any of my info can help someone in the future! Best wishes to all of you!

I cried in Starbucks when I opened the letter. I can’t believe I got in. It’s freakin 15% acceptance rate y’all. I hope they don’t send me acceptance letter by mistake, they’ve done that in the past.
@Zer0xfourD I believe EE is usually breadth, although you could do the longer IGETC.

@Zer0xfourD All assist is saying is that partial IGETC does not count towards anything, and full IGETC doesn’t count towards anything either. The engineering program requires a certain amount of GE’s posted on the Engineering website. If you were accepted, i’m pretty sure that means you have the minimum GE requirements. If you didn’t have the requirements, they would denied you.
