I’m not a History major but linguistics&psychology… the admitted gpa profile tells me that average was 3.3-3.6 last year…with 45-50% acceptance. my gpa is 3.55… I’m an adultESL student assistant at my ccc right now… do you think I have a good chance of getting in?.. god I’m so nervous and scared bcuz with other majors like econ, buisecon, cs… get rejected with 3.9-4.0 gpa. I think majors matter a lot.
Does anyone know if different UCs count AP units differently? On the UC TAP website, it says I will have 28 units from my AP exams, but, for example, will Cal and UCLA both recognize all 28 units?
Hi @vvsharoom2016transfer I’m a soci major! and a psych major… I applied to different schools with different ones.
@TL0067 they are counted the same for all of the UCs
@TransfertoUCLA seems like you should have a pretty good chance. Your GPA is where you want to be. As long as you completed your pre-reqs and wrote some decent statements, you should have good odds.
Can anyone give me more insight on Uc to Uc transfer I’m coming from davis. My gpa is 3.15 It between the 20% and 50% of those admitted to ucla african American studies I have several excurricular activities ranging from black student union at Uc Davis Nigerian student association as well as working at Uc Davis cafeteria.
@“osazuwa ogbeide” It’s community colleges first, csu’s, instate schools, out of state schools, and international, in that order I believe. If you made a compelling case on WHY they should take you when you’re already at an awesome school like Davis vs someone from anywhere else you should be fine. Your major isn’t impacted so that should give you some comfort, but again none of us here are admission experts. Good luck.

@“osazuwa ogbeide” UCLA specifically treats UC to UC and community college transfers the same, so you’re at no disadvantage if you’re trying to transfer to UCLA from UCD.

i’m going to ucla later today for volunteer jury duty for their law program, lol. can’t wait to be immersed in the dream school that will either accept or reject me this week.

@SuzyA97 Only if you are in TAP do they consider your alternate major.
So just called the UCLA admissions number… the message said that transfer decisions are being released the 26th after 5pm. 
It confirmed April 26 for transfer Goodluck to me and everybody applying it changed this year. Last year was the week before Berkeley
So ridiculous we have to wait an addition few days for our decisions. I’m really hoping that they still come out on Friday. Odd that they changed the release date to a Wednesday. [-(

Guys, Unless Admissions tweets it, I would take everything they say with a grain of salt. A few people and I have called several times on the same day and we all got different answers. I wouldn’t believe it unless UCLA publicly announces it. I have a seriously hard time believing that they will break their week before Cal tradition.
