@uclatft Ummmm where does it say that? Mine still says “under review”
Mine doesn’t say that… weird @uclatft
I am not sure if this is accurate and UCI’s date is off, I believe, anyway http://admitguide.com/
Mine says "We are happy to have received your application for Fall Quarter 2017 admission to UCLA!
Over the next few months we will be busy reviewing transfer applications. If, during the course of our review, we find that we need any additional information, we will contact you by e-mail. We plan to release admission decisions in late April. "
@pomeranian4rich We have a traitor in the ranks.
@FaithGraceUC Same
is anyone’s myUCLA doing anything?
@northremembers welcome TFT amigo you should definitely not feel discouraged if you didn’t get an interview, many have gotten in without one! I hope we all get in…
Mine still says under review. Can we get stats and status?
3.9 econ major
@lexluther96 @doihaveashot2016 It says that here for me https://undergradapp.tft.ucla.edu/applicant/applicant/dashboard
but I’m a TFT student and did a supplemental application so maybe it’s different? but that’s where it used to say my application status and that it was still in review. Or maybe I’m still not looking on the right page
I’m trying to sign in, but it says I have the wrong password… I literally JUST made it and signed in an hour ago. Idk I’ll try a new computer and be back.
@uclatft Thanks my pal, I hope so too! I have had a really good feeling about my chances, but I am probably at a disadvantage because I don’t have any “related” experience or awards… I know that it is not a requirement to have film experience but I’m sure it helps. I just hope my writing sample and essays are as good as I think they are. Just trying to stay positive. I’m sending out good vibes to us all!
I think it’s starting to register that it isn’t going to be today
@champagnemami RE: “how does UCLA view one-year transfer? I know some get in every year but do they evaluate us differently from those who have more grades and classes at the time of application?”
It is difficult to get admitted with too many requirements still in progress from what Ive heard. They would have to trust that you would perform at the same caliber for the next 1-2 years, that’s a pretty big leap of faith. You’re also competing with people who have completed all of the requirements and had more time for leadership and EC’s. Not impossible, depends on which major you’re applying to, but tough in my opinion.
i came back to 90 notifications after only being away for 2 hours so naturally I had a heart attack lol
@uclatft only TFT applicants can see that message because we have TWO different portals. The TFT one and the Regular portal.
@LynAmmo I had a similar situation back in 2009 when I applied as a freshman, but with a last minute reporting error (I forgot to report the original F for a class I took again for an A). As long as it is fixed and they know that, I don’t think it will harm your application to switch up your future classes (as long as all requirements, IGETC and UCLA, are fulfilled).
Hi @cspoon1126 ! RE: “Hello! What does the 25th percentile versus the 75 mean?
I am an anthropology major, 3.51 gpa, and the 25th percentile for that major is 3.40 while the 75th is 3.81
the admit rate is 57%
Does this mean I have a pretty good chance??”
I think you do have a pretty good chance. Those percentiles are about ADMITTED students. The 1st percentile would be the lowest GPA that was actually admitted (for transfers last year to that major only), and the 99th percentile would be the students with the HIGHEST gpa that were admitted. Your GPA falls into the middle of 25%-75% of the average GPAs admitted, so you definitely have a good chance speaking strictly about your GPA. This is only one of a few important factors for admission, however. If your EC’s are strong, leadership is shown, personal statement on point- I’d say you have a great chance. Good luck with everything!
@mbruin92 Ok thanks! Just hope they consider it! Cause that can make or break my whole application
How likely do you all think that decisions will be released at 5 today?
