@Hopeful14567 I am still pending for Informatics with TAG. If they waitlist me, I’m going to then hope I get in if enough people decline their admission offers, since from my understanding you can’t appeal a waitlist, at least before the admissions from the waitlist close. I’m not sure if you can appeal if you don’t get in from the waitlist, hoping you can though. If I get a chance to appeal, I’m going to cite that my Stats class that I’m currently in is (most likely going to be) an A, which would mean that I can definitively say that I meet all the major pre-reqs with the 3.0 GPA. I cannot think of any other reason why they wouldn’t accept me through TAG other than a possible issue with my major pre-reqs at the time they evaluate it. I sent them a message to see what’s going on, so hopefully I’ll find out more in the morning.
@Hopeful14567 Unfortunately uci does not accept appeal from waitlisted applicants. If you go to appeal section in UCI website, they do not even offer appeal page for waitlisted applicants. i guess maybe you can appeal once you get rejected from the waitlist. i am also waitlisted and just hoping for the best result…

I gave ‘em a call just now, and they told me that there will be a mixture of acceptances, waitlists and rejections. They also said to expect the decisions near the end of the day; I would say, start checking your portals around 3pm.
