<p>Ah. I read only THIS thread and answered only Coralbrook’s question from THIS thread. I interpreted her question to be about the hypothetical kid who got the “Fall Grades” message, which is what the Chapman AdmissionsRep addressed in that post I cited upthread here. </p>
<p>I don’t think her question in THIS thread was about her own kid (who I guess was Rolled to Regular Decision). I believe her question was about the “Fall Grades Requested” kids, and whether those kids are still considered EA (yes) and would they hear about a decision earlier than the regular decision date if they submitted their fall grades (yes).</p>
<p>I doubt if anyone can truly answer the question about “If the kids fall grades are the same or better than prior grades submitted, will the kid be accepted?” I’d guess there are no guarantees for the Fall Grades kids, or the Rolled to RD kids. I’ve told my own Fall Grades kid it’s a “Deferral Light” and anything can still happen…The decision he gets next may STILL be “Rolled to Regular,” denied, waitlist, who knows???</p>
