Fashion advice in southern states

Another thing to keep in mind…if it is hot…everything in the South has air conditioning. You probably should bring something to wear when you are inside…like a sweater or jacket.

Capris are fine, and white is fine. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks to everyone
@Sybylla not formal, but I like to wear something that makes me feel fresh and vibrant and respectible. I was just wondering if there was some sort of fashion faux-pas in the south about wearing white in spring. I don’t think of white as formal-may capri pants seem more picnic-like. If they get dirty, I can use a stain remover, so I guess I’m not too concerned about appearances of being dirty, just style and feeling good about what I am wearing.-ha
@ultimom and @thumper1 I will definitely bring along a sweater/jacket as my upper body gets cold easily. I’ll probably bring along a “mom bag” as my d calls it…to keep jackets/sweaters in if it is too warm.

Definitely bring jackets and an umbrella. My D goes to school in Texas and is constantly adding and removing layers. And it rains a lot. Check the weather forecast in advance obviously in case things are unseasonably cold, but I think the items your mentioned sound great. Have fun!
