It’s 7.5 points which is $7.50. That’s pretty cheap for a buffet.

Are you guys calling the Durant Food Court (Satay House, Steve’s Korean BBQ, Mandarin House, etc.), the Asian Ghetto now?

Even the Asians in my hall call it that.

The food IS cheap.

CHEESEBOARD hands down…

That’s only if you buy an entire package/meal plan, it comes out to that rate.

Uhh everyone calls it that.

That was a CHEAP shot.

Yeah but if you don’t have a meal plan, why would you eat at Crossroads?

All you youngin’s…

The Asian Ghetto is a term that must have been coined in recent years. It was never referred to as that when I attended…

Khan, explains a lot. I keep telling a cousin about the Asian Ghetto and he keeps saying he never heard of it (he graduated several years ago.) I was wondering how he could have missed it in 4 years!

If Crossroads and Clark Kerr are $7.50 for dinner that is a pretty good deal if you think about it. The price includes dinner, a really good salad bar at Crossroads, dessert, beverages and tax and you don’t have to tip.

.

…oy. This thread is about places to eat, and Crossroads was mentioned. It’s still a restaurant that people can choose to eat at (and I choose not to).

For those with meal points to spend: the panini at Ramona’s!

Right Dranakin, but it’s unfair to attack Crossroads for $9.00 for dinner when 99% of the people there pay $7.50, and the 1%…I have no idea why they pay money to eat there.

With meal points:

Ramona’s

Without:
Bongo Burger
Top dog
jasmine thai
naan n curry

Pizza within walking distance: Blondie’s, Fat Slice, Cheeseboard
Pizza for delivery: North Beach
Pizza otherwise: Zachary’s

Northside Burgers: Oscar’s, Barney’s

Others: La Burrita, Top Dog, La Val’s, Mario’s La Fiesta, Asian Ghetto (north side), Mayflower

My favorite Chinese (and probably favorite overall): Taiwan Restaurant

Brazil cafe at the berkely end of University is pretty good. Plus, there’s like always a guy there giving out free samples.

Also second intermezzo. The salad they give is so ridiculously huge. It always fills you up.

I’ve heard that Ramona’s is arguably the best on-campus restaurant.

Right… $4 for a peanut butter and sandwich. LOL.

Their rice bowl is good the first few times, then I got sick of it, just like the food at the DC.

However, Miso Ginger salad dressing = best.

I’ve never been to Romona’s, but heard their panini’s are the best thing they got.

Romona’s is basically the only place I use my mealpoints.

I was actually at The Terrace a few days ago (I kind of stumbled upon it) and grabbed a quick mocha. To my surprise, it was pretty good. It was the first good coffee place (other than Peets ) that I found on campus.
