<p>This subject has come up on threads for other Top LACs. I was a feb freshman many,many years ago at Mount Holyoke College, so I am always interested in what students are saying today about being a feb freshman. The only negative comments I have ever heard are from those who were not feb freshman. I understand that a Midd feb freshman is “treated” the same as a MHC feb freshman --once you are made to feel at home and oriented to the campus there are no special distinctions. I was on campus less than a week before I felt just like everone else. All of my friends were September freshman and we remain friends today. By the time I was a sophomore nobody even remembered that I had been a feb freshman. I arrived not knowing a sole from Hawaii in the middle of the winter so that made it extra scary but I never regretted my decision to attend MHC. Today kids seem to do so many fun and exciting things for the fall semester. I attended UH because wanted to graduate with my class and did not want to worry about trying to catch up during my summers. Good luck to your S. I am sure he will love Middlebury–even as a feb.</p>
