***February 8 2014 Official ACT Answers Thread***

The best thing to do is just wait and see. Only 13 and a half more days ;)

Oh yeah only 13 and a half more days…

Yeppers, peppers. What scores are you guys expecting? And do you prefer the ACT or the SAT?

Personally, I find the ACT easier, but I also find it more boring, whereas the SAT is a bit more challenging and “fun to take”, even though I would rather be done with both.

@VaishS did you get my PM?

sat Is more fun

HAHA i have a countdown going on my phone lol, and yes @XCBro4Life sorry I was just busy, and @Indianboy2400 ACT bc I have never taken the SAT but I suck at Vocab and english in general (first gen american) so i feel like that would be a bad idea lol
Im expecting 33-34… I got a 31 on my first one but this seems to have went better, hopfully higher than a 34 lol, then i wouldnt have to take it again

I hope

Don’t remember much after that.

@DJFlash For number 15 for your math answers, I got y > 3, because I thought that the question was like y=3a^x where a was a positive integer and x was an number greater than 0, and then you had to find the range. Did I read the question wrong or is my answer correct?

And also for your #1 on your answer list, why would the absolute value problem have no solution>

On another note, how do you know that -2 was a 36? I really hope that that is the case.

does anyone know the writing essay question for 68E?

@VaishS what math are you in?

@XCBro4Life Pre Calc why?

same just curious. Have you guys started sum and difference formulas and ect?

@indianboy2400

I think X was less than 1 for first one, and I experimented with the calculator and got 0<y<3, but then again i might have read problem wrong

also, i am absolutely sure the absolute value is no solution

|x-2| </= -5

absolute value can not be negative. i am sure i did not overlook it because i was like what a stupid question and checked it at least 2-3 times to make sure i was looking at it right.

also some kid who said he absolutely missed 2 said he got a 36

@XCBro4Life like trig identities angle sum and difference identities or like sum and difference of cubes stuff?

@VaishS exactly I have a test Thursday lol

@XCBro4Life hmm did u guys just get done with unit circle stuff?

@VaishS no, we’ve been using the unit circle for like three months lol

@VaishS and @XCBro4Life what did you get for the y = a^x question?
