Feburary DELAYED test (2/13/09)

If by some small chance colleges or ACT did catch wind of this I hope they wouldn’t cancel the scores of anyone who took the test on the 13th.

And silverturtle isn’t worried about the ACT he got a 2400 SAT. Good job :)

@canderson11

Yes, I know. That’s why I expect him to get a 36 (even cold)

“If by some small chance colleges or ACT did catch wind of this I hope they wouldn’t cancel the scores of anyone who took the test on the 13th.”

If they see a 29 go up to a 35 on a late test, they will probably give a retest to confirm that the guy actually fairly made a 35.

First of all, I don’t think they can fairly cancel the scores of everyone who took the test. Nor do I think that the ACT monitors each person to see how their score went up or down. From what you all say, you get your scores at different times. Some people will be getting their scores from the Feb 6 test before people at the end of the month take it. If this is the case, there will probably be different curves for each offering of the test. That’s what will make it fair.

Very interesting that the original poster here who said he took a rescheduled test on the 13 of Feb is from Wisconsin. but Wisconsin had no cancelations and no rescheduled tests on February 13…anyway, it really does not make a big difference. You take the test and whatever you score, you score … getting caught up in extraneous postings, which definitely can be wrong, will only hurt your test score because you are not focused for the test … next thing is people will be complaining that a proctor at a different test center gave an extra minute or something like that. Don’t worry about curves or what test is being given or other people whose postings may not even be true. Worry about yourself and doing the best you can. Good luck to everybody…

I agree with NEP. I doubt that most people who took the ACT on a rescheduled day got the heads up on answer through sites like this. Even if a few did ACT won’t be able to tell who cheated and who didn’t. Someone who got a 24 could have cheated when their real composite should have been a 20. Also NEP made a good point about what goes on at each testing center. Who knows if a prompter gives extra time. If a student is allowed to read the question early or if they are allowed to look back at answers. No one can say for sure that everyone is getting an equal and fair shot when taking standardized tests. It’s in the past and everyone should focus on hoping they got the best score they could get.

^moved to upper arlington ohio :P

good luck
it really makes no big difference what test you took or who else took it or whatever the posts are here. that’s just my opinion. I think focusing on the test you are taking is most important. Focusing on some posts and what other people say about some questions, which may or may not even be right, will probably just hurt the score.

uhhh having access to the answers before the test will not hurt your score…

@olleger

if the consensus is wrong, it could

I hope the consensus is right though because almost all my answers matched up :)

It’s a consensus for a reason ; )

haha well the consensus has been wrong before

When do scores come back for delayed tests? Same period of time?

^
I asked this in another thread.
Anyway, the answer was they’ll come after 2 weeks
