<p>About the fee hike…I had no idea colleges increase it by such a considerable amount EVERY YEAR…wow… this is a major blow to be honest :(</p>
<p>And no, the financial aid at WPI isn’t changed…</p>

<p>Problem is…I’m international and i dont know anyone at WPI…nor do i have any family there…</p>
<p>i have tried looking at craigslist for rooms and stuff…and found that most cost 600/month…without food…</p>
<p>also since I’m all the way here…it’s gonna be hard for me to talk to someone and choose a place since i don’t knw anyone there… and going blindly into this without meeting my room mates/landlord personally is a big gamble…coz ill be stuck with them for a whole year at least.</p>
<p>also…WPI states on its site.that they will NOT take part in any out of campus housing negotiations…soo thts promble too…</p>
<p>not to mention…food is gonna cost extra…around at least 3 to 4k$ per year…</p>
<p>and not to mention transport…</p>
<p>and i don’t knw how safe Worcester is either…</p>
<p>so basically…</p>
<p>first time in a new country…which i have never been in…
going to live with someone i haven’t met personally…
cooking own food…
walking to and fro uni…
its a HUGE change…dont ya think so…</p>
<p>and right now…according to my calculations…i need an on campus job to make WPI YEAR ONE affordable…</p>
