ferocious squirrels this year?

I wonder what his CC name would be?

This is all too funny! My folks had flying squirrels in their house - not at all funny.

Maybe the squirrels are just really thirsty due to the drought.

I actually like all of the squirrels; chasing them is my mutts’ exercise regimen and my entertainment, since the dogs are too dumb to realize that the squirrels ALWAYS win the race.

We have 2 german shorthair pointers who delight in chasing squirrels. They patiently wait “on point” in the direction of the lucky squirrel. Then at some “dog only knows” signal they both run at 60 miles an hour toward the squirrel, who always gets away, day after day after day! Sure is good entertainment/excercise for the dogs!

I had a manchester rat terrier. She sometimes won the race to the hole. Sometimes she would dig them out, other times wait them out.

This year the squirrels are particularly vicious. They chew their way into the walls. I think we’ve trapped about a dozen in 2 months and patched about a dozen holes. I voted to let them go in the middle of a river, but my soft-hearted husband lets them go on the far side of town, across several major roads. I swear they put up a “for rent” sign. As soon as one is trapped, another varmint appears. They are easy to catch, every single one of them seems to love peanut butter sandwiches.

skiers-mom, have your husband spray some paint on those squirrels. I bet you find that the same squirrels return by the next day. That ride across town probably just annoys, or possibly entertains, those squirrels.

I swear, once a squirrel gets into my attic, he tells all his friends what a nice place we have and to come and enjoy the party!!!

Happens all the time in my neck of the woods!
