Fight for your right to partty! c/of '10

Networking is one of the most important things to do in college… a secret about the world: It’s not what you can do, its who you know. Know the president of a major company, and he’ll take you for the job over the guy that is 10x more qualified than you. So yes, CC networking thru college would probably be a great idea, and would certainly help you on your way to improved social life (although I guess the key idea here would be to make the CC community hang out in person, heh heh).

The one thing I do disagree with you on is that La Jolla is not an excuse: La Jolla is a very ritzy town with very strict rules about stuff like that, thus the lack of a Greek Row. No Greek Row = No frat parties, and frat parties are a major part of the party scene at any school. Compare that to UCSB, which is surrounded by the city of Isla Vista, a 1 mile by 1 mile couple blocks of ALL college students… it’s much easier to have a party scene there, because the residents of the town are more than accomodating (house parties EVERYWHERE). UCSB caters much more to a party scene than UCSD does, and that is because of the nature of the neighboring city and location.

Well, you know what? I’m going down to La Jolla this weekend and while I’m there, I’m going to give them a piece of my mind

heh heh, I like your attitude =)

Warren 2010 official party representative

“Theres no way that UCSD is simply full of 20,000 boring people.” - lvshorty610. An excellent point, and one we need to remember, and I’m trying desperately to believe.

We can make our own fun. There are ways, my friends. There are ways.

Agreed. Let’s raise the grade for our social scene. We can do it!
I feel like the mice from Cinderella. We are the mice and UCSD is Cinderella’s dress? =P

Mmmm. I heard my name. I’ll be happy to adopt you on weekends, Vi :}

Anyone/everyone should feel free to call me for parties. If I can’t find/host one in UCSD, you can probably find me in SDSU. I have a lot of my party friends going there next year, so I’m set for that.

Cinderella and mice! I love it! Not the most sophisticated analogy, but it certainly works…

is Muir the most social just because of its easy GE’s?

An interesting theory; maybe they have more time to actually go out and socialize versus the rest of us, doomed to study every Friday night for the next four years. It might be just the type of people who go there. They seem kind of laid back, but that’s just my impression.

I don’t care behind the reasons–I just know I chose to go to Muir because of the possible social scene. :}

it seemed perty hippy when i visited :]

Hahah. Studying on a Friday night.

That’s cute.

Senson, you’re becoming a regular. i can feel it!

He just has to follow/respond to all my posts, and he’ll be a regular in a day or two :}

lol i should be studying for calculus but what am i doing??

o wel i might get rescinded from sd thought cuz of my jazz band grade 0_O

******* gave me a D for not playing well in my FIRST and LAST year of jazz band

Just talk to UCSD admissions if you haven’t already. Jazz shouldn’t be a strong enough reason to get your acceptance rescinded by them.

@ Senson:

This is unacceptable. I’ve already mentally accepted you into our warm and fuzzy UCSD’010 community and what do you do? You have to go and try to get your acceptance rescinded.

Excuse me while I go and do the sob now.

you’ve posted to much to not go here!

lol indeed, i’ve talked to the admission officer and told me that they DON"T know what they’re gonna do… ***… but then i just sent my SIR anyways lol i’ll appeal if i get rescinded i’ll make sure i get in for NewSlang’s sake :D
