Fighting Internet Addiction

You need to have self control in order to break the habit. Self control is something that you learn over time and perfect each time you practice. I use to be heavily addicted to the internet back in high school and I’ve broken away from it to the point that I only spend one to two hours online each day (productive and non-productive). Once you start doing things outside of the computer you’ll realize how boring the internet really is.

If you feel that you’re spending too much time online, simply exit out of what you’re doing and walk away. It’s easier then you’d imagine once you get use to it.

Finding activities and friends is very helpful. Getting a job is even moreso. Just try to keep yourself busy. Having a lot of free time often leads to addictions so keep distracted :)
