film studies major or classes at LU?

<p>can someone tell me what opportunities there are to study film at LU?</p>

<p>I saw this on the website, but most - except one - seem to be really foreign language courses using film as a subject.

<p>I see that film studies is under what LU calls ‘Courses of Study/Areas of Interest’. What is that, vs a major?</p>

<p>I found this while tooling around(a draft of the 08-09 classes). It seems that there are more course offerings in film studies than I suggested above (only in the language depts).</p>

<p>Film Studies is an interdisciplinary area of study. At LU you can declare a minor or IA of study that goes along with your major. It is not a major area of study. Since the film courses cross the disciplines, students can take some of these courses to fulfill certain requirements for their degree depending on what they are studying. At least, this is my understanding of these things. I would write to admissions to clarify anything.</p>
