<p>ironjawedangel – that’s exactly how I felt! I was accepted ED too, so I was even more annoyed that I was stuck going to GW when my family needed significantly more money. My parents seriously considered breaking the contract, as they only gave us $4,000, a totally insignificant amount.</p>
<p>However, my parents sent in an appeal to the financial aid office, essentially listing why they needed more money (close to retirement, healthcare costs, etc.), as well as scheduling a meeting down in DC with someone from the financial aid office. I received a new aid package several weeks ago that awarded us about $12,000 in grants/work-study.</p>
<p>So, my advice is to have your parents either schedule a meeting at GW or at least contact somebody from the office. They were very helpful.</p>
