@Divamamacita congratulations to both of your talented kids!

@Divamamacita so happy for your talented kids! My D was friends with your son at Nexus and ran into your kids at Wright State and Unifieds  Congratulations for getting two kids through this crazy process and for both landing at the right school for them.

@Divamamacita congrats on making it to the other side with both!

Two kids thru this process and you are still sane? Congratulations!!! Thrilled to hear they are both happy and settled on great schools that they are excited to attend! ??

@Divamamacita . amazing outcome, 3 kids through this gauntlet in 4 years must gain you some special award!!

@Divamamacita I cannot imagine trying to do this for 2 kids at once, and trying to support each in their unique talents and differences. Glad to hear that each has found a place to land that will be best fit for them. Congratulations!

Background - S attended Performing Arts High School in St Petersburg Fl for two years. At the last minute he decided not to go back for junior year but to dual enroll and take remainder of course work online and graduate this year. He is an early grad He has been Performing in community theatre since he was 12. He performs in an advance tap dance squad as well. We did everything ourselves with the help of some wonderful people in our community who choreographed his dance videos, helped with his song choices and accompanied him on the videos as well as recording his cuts for us to use when an accompanist wasn’t available. He has a few heartbreaks along the way but was always upbeat until it came down to final three. He adored Stephen Skiles at Xavier but desperately wished it were a BFA program and not a BA, he loved Coastal Carolina - great campus, amenities and Kids! and after a late visit to Otterbein fell in love with Christine Kirk and the kids/program there . ( He also really loved Bob Westenberg at Missouri State and what a great program they have there - but the overall fit wasn’t right )
Final Decision - Otterbein. He loved everything about the program and the size of the school, the opportunities and the faculty. He is going to be cold in Ohio -coming from Florida and the dorms aren’t air conditioned so there are some trade offs but nothing that swayed him enough from his belief that Otterbein is the program for him ( It helped that they did Singin in the Rain while we were there and the level of tap dancing blew us away)

@gatorbridget Congratulations! So much talent will be headed to the state of Ohio next year it’s amazing.

@gatorbridget great outcome, great choices, Congrats!- hoping you will stick around to cheer on the class of 2024 - we’ll need it!!

Congratulations @gatorbridget !! Thank you for sharing your story and so happy he found his path!

Congratulations to your son @gatorbridget! I hope he loves Otterbein! The midwest winter can be hard on warm-weather state kids but the nice thing is they can’t WAIT to come home for holiday breaks to warm up! Very happy for you.

Congrats @gatorbridget and son! Glad he found his fit and you are done! Best of luck!

@Divamamacita Double congrats to you and your twins. Wow! I can’t imagine doing this with two kids at the same time! Hats off to you. Guess it was good you had your D to learn with. Hope they thrive at their chosen schools and your older D has much success in her next adventure!

I’m so excited seeing everyone’s posts about their final decisions and can’t believe it will still be another couple weeks before my D can decide since she still is visiting her final choice schools! Yay and ugh…lol…
