Financial Aid: Additional Info Required

I just went online to see what kind of info they were looking for when submitting the Parent 2010 Tax Information form online - and the instructions indicate that you don’t need to send in the paper forms unless randomly selected by USC:

Instructions:

•Please complete all questions. Indicate “0” or “Yes/No” where applicable.

•Enter a negative value for any notation of a loss (example: -1000)

•Please input all figures on this form exactly as they appear on the 2010 IRS Federal Tax Return. The Financial Aid Office may randomly select your file for verification and you may be asked to submit a full copy of the 2010 IRS Federal Tax Return. Any discrepancies in the information submitted via this form and the 2010 IRS Federal Tax Return can potentially reduce the amount of aid for which the student is eligible.

I would imagine this helps them cut down on paperwork - and if something looks questionable in the online version they will request a copy.

I’m hoping to get this finished by tomorrow…
