Yes…as an independent student, you do get additional Direct Loan money.
Are you transferring THIS semester? Do,you already have an acceptance to your NEW OOS school, with your financial aid?
When are you starting at the new OOS college? NOW? June 2018? Fall 2018?
If you are enrolling in a new college for January 2018 term…you would NOT be using your BOG waiver for THAT term…because you would no longer be a matriculated student in CA college.
But it would have no affect on your term you just completed using that BOG waiver. You just wouldn’t get any additional waivers if you then go OOS. And you would not be able to use the BOG waiver to pay for one course where you are not any longer enrolled in a degree seeking program.
