Financial Aid?

I would be a little leery of majoring in biomedical engineering at ANY college out there, really, because the field’s so new and relatively undefined. I don’t really know if there’s much of a standard curriculum for biomed stuff, unlike the EE, ME, Civil E, etc. programs that have been set in stone for a while (although they will change as technology changes, obviously). I’m planning on majoring in EE at Rose and doing grad work in biomed stuff…seems like the way to go these days. But I’d ask your counselor when you get to Rose…he could tell you better.

As far as asking for more money goes – I’d encourage everyone to do that! I initially got $7,000 in merit aid, my parents appealed for more, and Rose bumped us up to $9,000. But we got another letter a week or two later bumping my aid up to $11,000 total. It was well worth the effort.
