I wouldn’t reject your work-study if it was offered to you. It is really easy to find a work-study job, and many of the jobs are so brainless that you basically get paid to do your homework. Plus, depending on the type of job you have/want, there are many different hours you can work. For example, if you are a security monitor in a dorm, your hours will be between 8pm and 12am. There are also many work-study jobs in offices around campus that will give your more “traditional” hours. Most of the people I know who don’t have work-study are jealous of those who do because it is more difficult to get a decent job if you aren’t work-study.
