<p>Three years ago (I am getting old!) I was notified of my offer of admission by email first. The financial aid offer came along with the paper admission offer. It seems that the college now gives all applicants a Virtual Bryn Mawr account. The financial aid offer might be posted there before you get it in the mail.</p>
<p>We get to keep the first $500 plus 50% of the remaining outside scholarship money, and the rest is deducted from our grants. For example, a scholarship of $2,000 would reduce our financial aid by $750. If the college kept all of the money, there would be little incentive for us to apply for outside scholarships at all ;)</p>
