I never turned in my CSS profile, only my FAFSA. Is it too late to turn it in? Will it affect how much I get? If it helps, my efc is 0.

You should call the admissions office ASAP. If you go to your Axess with your SUNet ID and click “award letters,” you can see your financial aid award.

I don’t think they award financial aid without the Profile (but I don’t really know). However, I would get your Profile (including IDOC) done ASAP and submit it. Definitely call the financial aid office, and see what exactly it means and what can be done. I believe, they will still provide you with financial aid, but the amount might be reduced. I filed late and they said it wouldn’t affect my aid amount (but I was EA so it might be a different for RD applicants)

"If you have missed the priority filing date for your aid application, you may still apply for financial aid. You should complete all filing requirements as soon as possible. Please keep the following in mind:

* Your award letter may not be ready until after the standard notification dates;
- The student responsibility portion of your award may be higher than the standard amount;
- Certain types of financial aid may no longer be available by the time your application is processed."

I submitted the IDOC today, should I be okay? The office is closed today.

I think Affe’s post should answer your question. There are penalties.

The Financial Aid office is generally very accommodating to all students. My guess is you will be fine if you keep on top of it. The FA office has rules, deadlines, and penalties to encourage students to get their info in on time. But they will normally work with you no matter what as long as you cooperate with their requests.

It is a top priority of the Stanford University mission that no student (after being accepted) be denied an education because of financial difficulties. Just don’t procrastinate on anything else.

After seeing my financial aid package, I don’t believe a word of that accommodating policy. It’s open season on families with 100k+ incomes.
