If the parents were counting on the younger sib getting the same aid as the older sib- and that has turned out not to be the case, I don’t think there’s anything wrong with the parents explaining an “adjustment” to the older sibling.
But I don’t exactly understand the math here. Of course if the older sib graduates or goes part time, the aid will drop. But their tuition payments drop as well.
