Is an associate’s degree still considered an undergrad degree, or does this only apply to four-year degrees? Would I be first generation if one parent has a two-year degree?

What if one of your parents went to college for a yr and dropped out (because couldn’t pay)… no degree. Does that one yr of state school mean no first-gen status???

<p>Have your parents attended college? You and your sibling are of the same generation, If your parents have not attended college then you both are first generation college students.</p>

<p>**** the whole asian thing, first-generation will always help if lower socio-economic status accompanies it. I don’t think admissions officers would be <em>so</em> bent on keeping asians out of their colleges that they would omit these other factors.</p>
