<p>Class of 2010 S spent 2 years after graduation teaching middle school math as a TfA member. Now he is at the end of the first year of law school, far, far away on the East Coast. He will be working in Seattle during the summer though, so we’ll be able to visit!</p>
<p>DS1 was college class of 2008. Worked for 4 years in a job that provided a great foundation for his career goals and where all the worker bees were under age 30 so great camaraderie (team sports, ski lodge rentals). Now he’s in B-school full time and starts a fabulous internship when classes end. No complaints so far.</p>

fulltime grad school + internships from fall 10 to spring 12.
happily employed in the job I’ve wanted since high school since June 12 (and was an intern doing the same job since summer 11)… unfortunately I am still fighting some with my thesis committee, but hopefully I’ll get it finished for good this summer.</p>
<p>DD, college class of '08, spent 4 years abroad working with non-profit, and a short year in DC with another non-profit, now fluent is several languages with lots of great experiences and a significant other from another culture…accepted to Yale for a two-year fully-funded Master’s degree. (tuition plus generous living stipend. Flipping amazing!). A year ago, I thought she would never get around to taking the GRE…and now look!</p>
<p>My kid moved back to Wisconsin after graduation, and worked as a substitute teacher for two years. Gotta love that midwest attitude, as she had no problem renting apartments with no steady employment! Spent her summers working and living at her beloved church camp. The third year was a disaster after she accepted a teaching position at a new charter school that stopped paying her, leaving her with months at a time between paychecks. She stayed for the year out of devotion to the kids and her needing to accumulate documented classroom experience. School never did pay her for the last five months of her contract. She’s now married to a guy she met at the church camp 6 years ago, and teaching at a tribal school in Alaska. Public job, so she has healthcare and some job security. Only problem is the school just hired a middle school teacher, which reduced her classes (middle and high school combined has just 57 students) - so now she will be teaching gym classes in addition to her high school math classes. She loves living in the middle of nowhere. The school owns her apartment and all groceries are ordered online and flown in, since there are no roads coming into her village. She hasn’t seen a tree since moving there in August, since they are so far north.</p>
