I will be loading some exterior photos this afternoon into a new Flickr group. I have decided that I cannot reveal the exact address of the property until I am sure that deposits have cleared in escrow and the contract is into escrow. That might be a couple of days. The house is not listed for sale, so there aren’t any photos to look at on the Internet.
Closing escrow on Monday February 1st. I will take possession at noon on Monday. My contract has a clause that I have a right to do a final inspection within 3 days of closing, but I may not exercise that right due to the delicate situation. There’s not much damage any occupant could do to the kitchens or bathrooms, they are horrendous.
So that we can stretch out the anticipation… I’ll be loading the interior photos tomorrow. Wait til you see the living room - I’m in love with it. Everything else needs to go in the dumpster!
It does truly have an amazing view and some flat area that would be useful for expansion or a yard for a family. I can’t wait to see what your vision is for this property. The property really needs some love–yours!
Found it! Just had to look, I couldn’t turn down a scavenger hunt. Looking forward to the interior shots and then trying to predict what coralbrook is planning to do to maximize the views.
Wow. I can see what you mean about the retaining wall. You should hire the guy who did the one next door.
That view is amazing, I think there is a lot that can be done to maximize. It’s too bad the putz next door built a giant house with a second floor and blocked most of the view from the deck.
The yard is huge… looks like plenty of room to expand.
Keep the basketball hoop in the back though, it adds a nice touch.
Is that brick thing in the back an outdoor fireplace? Are you going to keep it?
ETA: I didn’t see @FilmerMom’s post. The way I found it was, if you zoom in on one of cb’s pics, you will see a very prominent feature, and it was easy to work back from that.
If you streetview around the back you can see the house number. The first digit is a number between 3 and 5.
Yes, it is a giant brick BBQ/Rotisserie/Fireplace thing. It can be seen if you zoom the ‘Back Yard’ photo on Flickr. In the olden days, this house was King of the Hill. The covered patio with BBQ could see north across everything to La Jolla. But then the big 2 story white house got built across the alley.
