So many interesting decorating touches, and they can sell it furnished . I am somewhat intrigued by the lady’s walk in closet - hats! Shoes! Purses! He’s no slouch with shoes either. Interesting choice of wallpaper in the kitchen and breakfast nook. I actually do like the tile goddess in the one shower - not Venus since she’s dressed. Demeter maybe?
This condo looks very dated. Sort of like Y2K luxury that is well past it’s prime. And holy JPMorgan! Association fees - $3,200 a month. No kidding!
Nice closets. I have seen closets staged with empty Chanel and Gucci boxes - in new construction here. We almost bought a house with his a hers closets of that size… got outbid by a Chinese buyer.

i haven’t heard from the Buyers of Del Monte, but I get notices from Zillow about updated values. That property has appreciated $175,000 in the one year they’ve owned it. I loved that house, it had so much character and great bones. But it almost killed me.
Boy that La Jolla condo has outstanding $6 million view. Note monthly HOA fees are $3,200 !, I also noticed that it was 2 units, F and G. Probably had to buy the condo next door to create the closet space
Argh. Cc double-posted my post and Siri edited “its.” Hate when it happens!!
Yeah, the views are worth $3M. Other things - not so much, have to pay someone to strip all that “luxury” finishes off and replace with modern stuff. And Lol on the closet space. The house we bid on had closets triple the size of the master bath that was quite substantial. Our realtor was gobsmacked that the lady owner had 20 plus pairs of the same style shoes (ferragamos?) in all sorts of colors. I guess when something fits, but multiples.
The views of that La Jolla condo are among the best I’ve ever seen. What a shame it’s so over-the-top decorated and dated.
The Houston townhouse closets genuinely look like a men’s clothing store. Check out all those sports jackets and men’s suits – there must be 200 of them!!!
The La Jolla condo looks like it’s decorated for my mother’s friends, who are all over 90. But we seriously need to up our closet game. Wow.
The Houston house is walking distance from Rice, so think what you could save in housing costs! I used to love walking through that neighborhood visiting DD. But the contents of the closets cost more than my current house.
The flippers are back in our neighborhood, wish they were more like CB and less like who they are.
If you can afford a $6M+ home plus $3K/month in association fee - you can afford to do a complete gut job.
I have a friend whose H is a clothes horse. When they put huge addition on their house, his closet was like walking into a men’s clothing store and just as big. Her closet wasn’t nearly as big (was still lovely though.)
I would totally buy that Houston town home if it weren’t for the black paint everywhere. IT would take a pallet of 5-gallon buckets of primer to cover up just the kitchen. The lady owner of that place has been seriously deprived. She needs more classic Chanel bags.
(I cleaned our closets bare before we put the house on the market. No one needs to know how many Hokas and JCs I own. )
That men’s closet is over the top. He has way more closet than the ‘her’ closet. Could you imagine having to keep all that stuff perfectly lined up and straight? That would be a full time job. I don’t have the patience to keep my closet looking like that.
Note that the guy has over 10 pairs of velvet slippers. Geez
