We opted to not do the rain head either…definitely not enough pressure for us.
We inherited a shower with a rainhead and a regular handheld shower head on separate valves. Mr. likes the rainshower concept but hates the low pressure… 
I like “my” Grohe handheld because it has an oomph.
Can’t wait for the tile reveal. I have seen and held every wall and floor tile at F&D, so will know right away what she got!! (Still hoping that CB was able to salvage the custom tiles from her bath.)

I’ll be back in town tomorrow. Still going to hit one more tile place in town… Bedrosian, because I have a contractor discount.
For the shower I’m putting in a small diagonal shaving bench, two large niches, one inset soap tray and two inset hooks. I had 4 hooks in my last shower and they were really handy.
My biggest issue, now that I am going to have glass walls, will be where to put a towel bar.
I loaded some photos of the master bathroom and new sloped shower. The plumbing for the shower valves and shower heads is complete. Tomorrow we have to mount the original water heater tank on the outside of the house and plumb it in. Then, we cap off the main lines over under the laundry room and I will have two water heaters going and that will be finished.

First, I am in love with this beautiful mother of pearl penny tile. Thinking of putting this throughout the bathroom and shower floor, but it might be a ‘bit much’. Maybe as kind of a rug inlay design in the shower or something

You have some great options. Wow, some of those prices! I prefer a more spa-like feel so I’d rule out the fish scales. But that’s just me! I can’t wait to see which you choose. Can you use any bath/tile cleaner on the mother-of-pearl or does it require special care?
It’s not really true mother-of-pearl, it’s a kind of marble, so pretty much any non-abrasive cleaner should be fine.
Some of the marbles are pretty fancy, and $50/sq ft! Holy cow!
I like the iris gris one the most, it feels a little bit contemporary to me. The others are too stodgy/old school.
I’m not a fan of penny tile in any material.
Ditto, @notrichenough - I love that iris one. I was actually drooling over some of these marbles at F&D, but they would feel out of place in my bath. So will live vicariously through CB’s remodel.

I like that one, too. I would buy it just for the name. But it is $$$$. Did not want to stir CB towards such a pricy option.
