Yes I know that, so he can make an account? Did you do that yet?

Can you appeal merit $. Only received $1000 per year

My daughter was accepted as an OOS student, Business Major, for the Academic Success Pathway, which means she can start Fall semester but can only take 9 credits. Then she will take 15 in the Spring and 6 in the Summer to catch up. This is offered to some students who have an okay GPA but low test scores (like her) or low GPA but high test scores.

She has not committed to FAU yet - we are going to visit the campus later this month and then she will decide. But it is in her top 2 or 3!

Can anyone who got into FAU direct admit nursing please share stats and if they gave out of state merit? Thank you!

Do you mind sharing her stats? DM if that’s better? My S26 is OOS and very interested in FAU as a business major. He doesn’t have a test score yet but GPA is around 3.7. Not sure that will be enough.

My daughter had a 3.4 GPA and 19 ACT. Some factors that might have helped were that she applied early action and is from a Western state - if they consider geographic diversity. Also not sure if they look at ECs but she has a large number of hours a week in sports and a paid job.

For those deferred back in December, have you received an update? I recall March 3 was the release date for these decisions.

My son got in and they only gave him 1k/year but honestly it is definitely one of our least expensive nursing school options. he is about 80 percent committed to FA even thought we have paid the deposit and housing. Still waiting on a few other schools. We are OOS

Does anyone know exactly where/how students can accept or decline their offer of admission? Most schools seem to have an “Intent to Enroll” section in the portal but my daughter can’t find anywhere in the Future Owl Portal or OwlDone where there is this option. She wants to decline to open up (hopefully) a spot for a waitlisted student and we found a “withdraw” section but it seems like that is for students who have already enrolled.

I’d love to know this as well.

I did finally find it - it is within the “Withdraw” form and there is an option to check if you are already enrolled or just an admitted student. It was within the OwlDone portal, click the blue “Get Help” button and then look for it in the FAQs, under “Withdrawing from FAU.” Not easy to find! If you are trying to accept instead of withdraw, I guess you just pay the deposit. I never did find an “Intent to Enroll” form.
