I agree with Marsian, I just turned 21 last December and other than a few parties freshman year, I have for the most part chosen not to drink in college and I have had a fantastic Clemson experience. The party scene is there if you want it and while there will obviously always be pressure from people to drink, they’re still fun to attend if you don’t. If people know that you don’t drink from the get-go and you can get past the initial peer pressure, people will back off a bit and you’ll find people you can hang out with that actually respect what you believe about drinking (which is more important in the long run in terms of friendship). I know Penn State is a big party school in a rural area but Clemson is definitely nothing as wild as Penn State contrary to what XtremePower would like you to believe.

No, I am not in a fraternity. If you want to join, go for it - I know Asians who have joined a fraternity in Clemson and have loved their experience so don’t let that deter you from joining one if that’s what you would want to do.
