It hits 100 degrees somewhat regularly during the summer- here it hit 100 roughly once a week. Many other days have highs in the mid to upper 90s and then heat indices can top 100 even more frequently.
2012 only had 1 day of 100+ highs, but the timeframe when those generally occur was when two tropical storms impacted the area and limited that. </p>
<p>I guess regularly can be a slight exaggeration, but it does happen. It seems like so long ago, but when I had Orientation the highs were all 102+… it was hot as hell.</p>
