Flu Season 2017/2018

Wow… that’s terrifying. Yes, it is all about weighing the risks. I had no problem using it for myself but if a doctor were to recommend it for my 1 year old nephew, I’d probably be reading as much as I could about it.

I have taken Tamiflu twice when I had flu and once when we were caring for our 28-year-old D who had flu. She also took Tamiflu and H also took it so he wouldn’t get it (we are all asthmatic and have other chronic health issues). Tamiflu worked great for all of us, and promptly with no side effects any of us noticed. I will take it again whenever my MD recommends it.

For D and me, it reduces symptoms 80% within 24 hours and 95% of symptoms within 36-48 hours.

I did ask my pediatrician about the pros/cons before I left the office.
